Symptoms???

My eye doctor wanted me to get checked out for MG. Only on right eye the muscles are acting weird. Also, my upper torso back and neck muscles are acting crazy. I have issues with RLS and pins and needles in my feet. Do these symptoms sound like MG to any of you that have it???

  1. Here is a simple test. Puff out one cheek with air, then push it in with your finger. Strong facial muscles will allow you to resist the force of your finger. But if your muscles are weakened by MG, your cheek will quickly collapse. It's a great test because you may not even be aware of weakening muscles in your face.

  2. Yes they do. Muscle weakness in just one eye is very common. So is weakness in the neck, in particular, and other voluntary muscles of the arms, legs and torso. Don't delay. Find a neurologist and get the simple blood test for MG. If you have to wait months for a neurology appointment, any regular doctor can, in the meantime, prescribe the test. The good news is that there are really good and inexpensive drugs that will quickly help control MG symptoms.
